PSA: Helping people, saving pandas

For this assignment we were to create a series of PSA posters. I only did two PSA's because there wasn't alot of time to get them done. I only posted one PSA up because my second one is an psd file  and it wouldn't let me change it to a jpg file. I did an Helping people, saving pandas banner ad. With the giant panda population is steep decline in the biodiversity rich Upper Yangtze region, the chinese government and conservation organizations took various measures to protect great tracts of panda habitats. Yet the downside was obvious. The forests were now off limits to local people who previously relied on them for their livelihoods. Suddenly, pursuing economic opportunity meant criminal activity.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 How-Tos

I'm using Adobe Photoshop CS3 How-Tos, 100 Essential Techniques by Chris Orwig  for my HOW magazine project. This book is helping me a lot for this project, It tells you step by step what you need to do. This book is a key component of an overall design workflow that lets users work seamlessly among all of their graphics applications to create graphically rich content for print, web, motion graphics, and mobile devices.

Type Formatting Exercise

For this assignment we got a copy about typography and we had to format the text using Indesign. 

Menu: Shagun

 For this assignment I had to create a menu by formatting text. I chose Shagun because I love Indian food. And this restaurant has a lot of choices to choose from.

Travel Brochure: Las Vegas

For this assignment I had to create an a eight page layout using Indesign. I chose Las vegas because it has a lot of information on it  and had has really good images and I used a Las Vegas book called Eyewitness Travel Las Vegas. It is one of the world's busiest tourist destinations, the city of Las Vegas offers just about everything- grand hotels, spectacular shows, excellent shops, and restaurants, theme park attractions, and the natural beauty of the surroundings, lakes, parks, and canyons. Most of visitors, however are here for a short period and need to plan their visit efficiency so as to samples the best of thats available.

Book Report

 

I recommend this book Computer Grpahics How It Works, What It does by Larry Kettlekamp because it talks about Newspapers and magazines are desgined, Buildings planned, art and music created, all with the aid of computer graphics. It is used to view the inside of the human body in three dimensions, to generate the spectacular special effects viewed on television, to produce feautre films by manipulating computer images.
